We've carefully planned each day to give you the best possible experience. From exploring historic sites to sampling delicious local cuisine, each day is full of adventure and excitement. Join us on a journey through some of the world's most fascinating destinations.

Day 1: Algiers / Djanet

Flight from alger to Djanet. Welcome by our Tuareg team and short transfer (20 min) to your bivouac for your first night in the Sahara. A change of scenery is guaranteed as soon as you step onto the tarmac and exchange smiles with your guide.

Day 2: Djanet - Essendilène Valley

After breakfast, your guide will meet you to explain the camel trek and your itinerary for the week. You'll then head off to the "weeping cow" site near the airport, before heading back to the city for the administrative formalities. As well as your adventurous equipment, you'll also need a chèche and a quick course in

Saharan makeover. You'll find what you're looking for with your guide, who's got it all covered! As well as the aesthetic appeal of the chèche, it's a must for protection from the sand, heat and cold of desert nights. Once you've finished shopping and completed the formalities for access to the Tassili Cultural Park, you'll climb aboard your 4×4 to the Essendilène valley (100km)., meeting point with your desert vessels. The camel drivers load your belongings onto the camels' backs and you're off to visit the Essendilène guelta, a luxuriant oasis bordered by oleanders and nestling in the cliffs. Your guide stops you to set up your bivouac in this magical place. Offer to help the camel drivers with unloading, the cook with peeling vegetables or just let yourself be carried away by the moment as you sip your tea. These moments of sharing with your Tuareg team are precious, so don't miss out on this chance.

Day 3: Essendilène - Ioulalaten - Touia Canyon

After the morning chats, the camel drivers sound the departure bell, and we have to leave the Essendilène canyon to reach Ioulalaten. Between a succession of canyons and cliffs, wadis and mountains, your walk is punctuated by numerous changes of scenery, leaving your eyes wide with every step. Visit Touia canyon is getting closer and closer, and the call of tea is making itself felt. The pace slows

to the bivouac site near the Touia guelta (possibly dry depending on pre-season rainfall). The first embers ignite and the teapot whistles as you gather for the tea ceremony. In the evening, the aroma of the cook's pot is already flattering your nostrils. Take advantage of this quiet moment to discover with your guide the tradition of Tuareg jewellery and its meanings. As night falls, the incredible spectacle of the stars can begin to the sound of the melody of the desert. At a time when artificial light and human activity are robbing us of the beauty of the sky, the desert remains a haven for photographers and astronomy enthusiasts.

Days 4 & 5: Touia Canyon - Tikoubaouine Arch

The caravan is back on the road, heading for the fabulous site of Tikoubaouine made up of sandstone obelisks and arches scattered across the sand dunes. An open-air museum where everyone can reveal the secrets of their imagination at the sight of these stone monsters. If Sigmund Freud were at your side, he could transcribe for you all the symbolic keys to your visions. Depending on the time of day, the sand

is adorned in a range of shades, from golden red to ash blonde, to delight the eye and soothe the spirit. These spaces invite you to relax and live in the present moment, here and now. The bivouac takes you to the Tilalen site, a continuation of Tikoubaouine with its sandstone arches and fantastic rocky peaks. Along the way, you'll come across evidence of the past in the form of cave paintings. Dating back to the Neolithic period, these outdated stigmata will arouse your curiosity about the evolution of these not-so-uninhabited places. The area to the east of Djanet has more than 5,000 recorded rock engravings, rediscovered in 1934, the oldest dating from the flourishing period before the desert took hold, around 12,000 years ago.

Day 6: Tilalen - Taloutadjart

To reach the site of the rock paintings at TaloutadjartYou'll encounter natural corridors, sometimes veritable labyrinths, where the rocks are set in symmetrical or non-symmetrical patterns. Follow your guide carefully through this rocky maze, as any traces of his passage will be erased as quickly as they appeared. The ritual of setting up the bivouac becomes automatic and everyone finds their place.

Day 7: Taloutadjart - In Aramas

Your caravan continues its journey through lunar landscapes, cirques swallowed up by sand and small passes where the grasses spared by the camels dance. Turn your gaze to the Tassili N'Ajjer plateau, your space a veritable labyrinth of natural corridors, where the rock beckons you to daydream with its dreamlike shapes. In Aramas and its dunes

welcome you for the night. Your guide will be on hand to show you the local customs and traditions. If the chef is in the mood, this evening Taguella (a bread cake baked in the sand) will be made before your astonished eyes.  

Day 8: In Aramas - Iharadj - Djanet

The hike is coming to an end, and you're on your way back to IharadjThis is where you meet your 4×4 for the return to town. A succession of black sandstone tassilis accompany you at the end of your journey. The camel drivers go their separate ways while you enjoy the benefits of a hot shower for deep cleansing and relaxation. Djanet is your last stop before catching your return flight
